The ‘Cry Me Out’ singer is happy that she can balance her passions but wants to always keep musically involved.
Pixie Lott has confessed that should could leave music to focus solely on a fashion career.
The ‘Mama Do’ star told Capitalfm.com that although she does have a “passion for fashion”, music is the main thing which makes her happy.
She confessed: ” Music will always be the main thing just because that’s what makes me happy. That’s what I couldn’t imagine not doing.
“But, I have a passion for fashion so I would love to focus on it more and get more involved in it at some point – just when the time is right.”
The ‘Girls And Boys’ singer also revealed that she is pleased to be able to balance her career ventures.
“Where we’re lucky, I can kind of do my music and have it along the side but I would never be able to stop doing music completely.”
The star has launched her own design collections in the past and is a always mentioned when it comes to modern style icons.
Meanwhile, Pixie released her new single ‘Kiss The Stars’ earlier this week and also told Capitalfm.com that she wants to work with Coldplay in the future.
The star is also nominated for the Best British Single award at the BRIT Awards 2012 for her track ‘All About Tonight’.
Singer-songwriter Pixie Lott says that her songwriting inspiration comes during the darkest times of her life, when she is feeling sad or upset. So in her case, difficult emotions serves as an interesting conduit for channeling her creative process.
As reported by Contact Music, Lott states, “It helps to be in a sad mood. Say you’ve had an argument with a friend, your mum, your boyfriend… It makes you want to write it down.”
Writing can be a very effective outlet for releasing pain as some of the greatest work tends to be inspired by truth. There are no rules, just uninhibited writing.
The British singer also admits that any strong emotion helps the writing process. And so, she continues to use these emotions and her beliefs about life to tell a message.
The title of Pixie’s most recent album Young Foolish Happy was partly inspired by one of her favorite songs and the belief that anyone can be “young, foolish and happy” at any age.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine she adds:
“You can have youthfulness whatever your age, you don’t need to get old and miserable. It’s also a song I grew up listening to by soul band The Tams. I do a cover of it at my gigs. This album is definitely more influenced by soul.”
Soul is indeed the source of great inspiration for creativity. While creating, Lott continues to embrace these real-life emotional, philosophical and musical influences in her own sound, style and lyrics.
Singer Pixie Lott says she gets floored by a man’s personality rather than his looks.
The 20-year-old prefers men who are “gentlemanly”, reports femalefirst.
Pixie, who is in a relationship with model Oliver Cheshire, said: “For me, it’s personality all the way. It doesn’t matter how good-looking you are, if you’re boring and have nothing to say, or arrogant, that would be it. That’s the worst.”
“I like guys who are gentlemanly, have manners and are funny. That makes anyone better looking,” she added.
The “Kiss the Stars” singer also said she would not stand for anyone who cheats on her. However, she said she understands that the lines as to what constitutes infidelity have become “blurred”.
“I wouldn’t stand for being cheated on. I don’t think any girl should. The lines are a bit more blurred now, so I don’t know how I’d feel if I found flirty texts or emails – I guess it would depend on the situation and what was being said. But actual cheating? No one deserves that,” said Lott.
Pixie Lott is ”too embarrassed” to play tracks she has written about her relationship to boyfriend Oliver Cheshire.
Pixie Lott is “too embarrassed” to play tracks she has written about her boyfriend to him.
The ‘All About Tonight’ hitmaker has been dating male model Oliver Cheshire since August 2010, and although she has penned a number of songs about their romance, she is too shy to let him listen to them.
She explained: “We live the most normal life. I have played him a few songs that I’ve written about things but he hasn’t heard all of the stuff I’ve written because I’m too embarrassed!”
The 20-year-old star’s second album ‘Young Foolish Happy’ features a collaboration with Stevie Wonder and she has confessed her “heart literally dropped” when she met the music legend during a chance meeting in a Los Angeles restaurant.
Pixie added in an interview on ITV1′s ‘This Morning’: “I was in the right place at the right time, so I was very lucky. He is one of my idols, one of my all-time favourites – I grew up listening to all of his stuff.
“I was in a restaurant in Los Angeles and bumped into an old friend just as we were about to leave. He said, ‘Don’t leave just yet, there’s a friend of mine outside’. I thought it was going to be a random person and in walked Stevie Wonder, my heart literally dropped.
“His friend, who I knew, is a producer writer. So we went into the studio together after we met and wrote a song, which he then played to Stevie and he liked it. I was just so grateful.”

Pop star Pixie Lott will share her fashion tips with fans after editors at Vogue chose the British singer to showcase her style on their website.
The Mama Do hitmaker will be photographed every day throughout December (11) and will detail her outfits for readers on Vogue.co.uk.
In the first entry on Wednesday (01Dec11), Lott reveals, “Today I’m going to Manchester to my gig at the Men Arena. I’m wearing my shorts from Pyrus, a top by Alice and Olivia from Oxygen Boutique, a Versace jacket and Rupert Sanderson shoes.”
Maroon 5, Primal Scream and Pixie Lott have all contributed their favourite festive tracks to an advent calendar.
The artists have all put forward their favourite Christmas songs to music service Spotify’s advent calendar application, which unveils a new track, selected by one of eight artists, every day in December until the 25th.
Choices along the way include artists as diverse as Mariah Carey, Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, TinieTempah, Michael Buble and Motley Crue.
Pixie Lott said of her selection: ‘It’s my favourite time of year so I’ve done a special festive playlist that includes some classics and my all time favourite Christmas song, it always gets me excited.’
Also selecting tracks for the playlist – which starts today (01.12.11) – are Leona Lewis, Jason Derulo, Kelly Clarkson, Ryan Adams and Westlife.
Nikki Lambert, EU Marketing Director for Spotify, explained: ‘The advent calendar ritual of opening a new door each day to discover a new treat, is one of the most fun things about the run up to Christmas.’
Seeing as Leona Lewis is a patron for the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary in Essex it made sense that the Bleeding Love singer was on hand to show her support during their Christmas Fayre this weekend.
Leona teamed up with Pixie Lott, Dynamo and former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan to help raise money to keep the Brentwood facility, which faces an uncertain future after the owner died last year, open.
It’s not the first time Leona has shown her support, just recently she completed a sponsored walk which raised over £14,000 and it sounds like yesterday’s event was as equally successful, but they still need more if they’re to reach their target of £100,000 by Christmas, so click here to donate.
A magnificent seven chart stars, including a sexy vegetarian, a one-time decorator and a former medical student, wowed Birmingham’s LG Arena NEC last night – in a high-energy show boasting the best of current British pop.
And although it was a shame that A Team singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran had to pull out, the line-up of the big BRMB 2011 spectacular still included an X Factor winner and the cream of those who have made it on their own.
Kicking off the show was sexy 60s-influenced singer Pixie Lott, who went upbeat with It’s All About Tonight and a cover version of Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely? In cropped high-waisted shorts, the answer to that question was a definite ‘yes’ judging by the high-decibel screams from the capacity crowd.
Next came R&B star Emeli Sande, a former medical student turned songwriter for Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle. She looked a little lost on the vast black stage but debut single Heaven tingled the spine.
Grime rapper Tinchy Stryder was far too loud but had the whole arena waving arms, singing along and wanting to hug the No 1 hoddie, whose four songs included the promise Never Leave You.
Painter and decorator turned 2010 X Factor winner Matt Cardle opened with album track Pull Me Under, which is perhaps why he looked like a scruffy Big Issue seller in a bin liner. Great voice, though, especially on Run For Your Life.
Malvern’s own Cher Lloyd, eager to prove that finishing fourth on last year’s X Factor was no bad thing, opened with Ur Love, her bare stick-thin, semi-tattooed arms clashing with her white-on-black pattern jumpsuit, purple belt and shoes.
As Christmas draws ever closer, we’re all looking forward to party season and it officially kicks off tonight with BRMB Live 2011.
The line up for this annual cheese-tastic event at Birmingham’s LG Arena reads like a who’s who of the pop charts and will fill any self-respecting music fan with horror.
But if you’re a) under the age or 12 or b) prepared to ride out the shame factor, then this is one pop party you won’t want to miss.
Already confirmed on the line-up are girl magnets The Wanted, pop princess Pixie Lott, pint- sized rapper Tinchy Stryder, crooner James Morrison and rising chart star Emeli Sande.
And it seems like the events managers at BRMB have also been fiercely raiding The X Factor back-catalogue to bring us Matt Cardle, Cher Lloyd and JLS too.
Former X Factor star Cher, from Malvern in Worcestershire, has also just announced her first solo UK tour and can’t wait to meet all her fans.
The 18-year-old Swagger Jagger and With UR Love singer said: “I can’t wait to get on that stage and perform for all of you – I never thought I’d ever be having my own tour.”
The young star is currently riding high in the carts with her debut album Sticks + Stones and is trying to crack America.
The ‘Young Foolish Happy’ star is set to reach the milestone in January next year.
Pixie Lott has revealed that she wants to have a joint 21st birthday party with Ed Sheeran.
The pair are both set to reach their milestone birthdays early next year, with Pixie turning 21 in January and ‘The A Team’ star the following month.
Pixie is planning to hold a Sixties-themed party and told the Daily Star that she wanted Ed to come along to the bash.
“I’m thinking of throwing a big Sixties-themed party, she said. “Everything black and white because I love the style.
“I want Ed Sheeran to celebrate his 21st with us too.”
Both Pixie and Ed are on the line-up for this year’s Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball, which takes place at the O2 Arena in London on the 3rd and 4th December.

In the studio this week, Jeremy Clarkson, Katherine Jenkins and Jason Manford battle it out, with appearances from Britney Spears and Robbie Williams.
