Pixie Lott has admitted that she will probably be too embarrassed to watch herself on The X Factor.
The 19 year old star stood in for pregnant judge Dannii Minogue at the Cardiff auditions earlier this year and she previously admitted that she loves watching the early audition shows.
“My favourite part is always the early auditions, when you get to see all the different characters. There are so many classic moments – I love it!” she explained.
However in a chat with The Daily Star, Pixie admitted that she would probably give her own debut a miss.
She said: “I think I’ll probably be too embarrassed to watch it. But I will definitely support the artists that I help to put through.”
Pixie’s next single, Broken Arrow, is set to premiere on BBC Radio 1 at 5pm GMT tomorrow, as confirmed by Pixie Lott News via Twitter. I can’t wait to hear the studio version. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can watch this video for a live performance of the track from the iTunes Festival, just to get a feel for it. I’m sure it will be another great hit for Pixie. Keep it here for all the latest updates on Broken Arrow as and when they happen.
Pixie’s (@pixiesongs) brand new single, #BrokenArrow, will premiere tomorrow @ 17:00 on The @Scott_Mills Show on @BBCR1!
Pixie Lott has been named the hottest female festival star.
Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie and The Saturdays’ Frankie Sandford were voted second and third place in the Viagogo poll.
Other stars in the top ten included Cheryl Cole, Diana Vickers, Ellie Goulding and Lily Allen.
According to Yahoo, Viagogo’s UK country director Edward Parkinson said: “It seems Pixie Lott is stealing Cheryl Cole’s crown as this summer’s festival princess.”
Rising Brentwood starlet Pixie Lott seemingly emerged from nowhere last summer and quickly established herself in the UK music scene.
Now she is showing no sign of slowing down and has her eyes set on world domination – with her next stop the V Festival, on Sunday.
She broke out with her first single, Mama Do, which went straight to number one in the UK Singles Chart and was followed up with Boys and Girls, which also topped the charts.
A platinum album, two number one singles and two MTV awards later, Pixie has undeniably made it.
She has been busy on the summer festival scene, making waves with her stylish good looks and her powerhouse voice.
So is she going to give a memorable performance at the V Festival?
“I love a bit of dancing while performing,” chimes Pixie, “so yes, you can expect me to show a few moves on the stage. I love to see recording artists do the whole package.”
Pixie has experienced the Isle of Wight, i-Tunes and T4 festivals this summer and enjoyed every minute of them. (more…)
Were you excited about being one of the guest judges?
I was very excited. I’d never done anything like this before so I was excited to watch the singers and find some talent – it’s a completely different experience being the other side of the fence! It is different to what I usually do, I’m used to being on the other side and performing, so to actually be judging other people was a very new experience for me, but I didn’t really feel nervous, I just felt really excited.
What were you hoping to get out of your day in Cardiff?
I was just hoping to find someone who really made me feel excited. I love watching people with voices that really make you feel drawn to them. I also loved to see the characters, because I always really enjoy watching the earlier auditions of The X Factor because you do get some individual characters. I wanted to see some young talent, people who have something special, where you can hear some kind of soul in their voice or something different.
What was it like sitting with an audience of thousands behind you?
I think having a big audience in the room just adds to the excitement because you get to hear how the audience responds, what the public think, and I think it just creates a better vibe.
A band has never won The X Factor although JLS have done very well. Do you think this could be the year?
I think JLS have definitely paved the way with bands because they’re doing really, really well but I also think that we need a male artist, because they’re always my favourites. (more…)
Pixe Lott has revealed that she wants a solo male artist to triumph on The X Factor this year.
The ‘Turn It Up’ singer, who joined the judging panel for Birmingham auditions, made the claim despite the show already having had four male winners, including last year’s victor Joe McElderry.
“I think JLS have definitely paved the way with bands because they’re doing really, really well,” The Sun quotes her as saying.
She added: “But I also think that we need a male artist, because they are always my favourites.”
Lott went on to reveal that she enjoys the audition stages of the ITV show, which begins this weekend.
“My favourite part is always the early auditions, when you get to see all the different characters,” she said. “There are so many classic moments – I love it!”
The new series of The X Factor kicks off on ITV1 at 7.30pm on Saturday.
Any fellas lusting after Pixie Lott should look away now – or brace themselves for some uncomfortable reading.
Because the singer is officially off the market after being snapped up by hunky model Oliver Cheshire. The pair have been dating for a few weeks and are having “a fantastic time together during the summer”.
They met through friends but clicked at a fashion event that saw him earning his crust as a clothes horse for Select Models.
A source said: “Pixie and Oliver are dating. Pixie hasn’t declared it publicly as she doesn’t want to seem too keen or jinx it.
“It is early days but they both really like each other. They get on brilliantly and are having fun together.”
The happy couple were snapped after a night out at London club Mahiki on Friday. And they were spotted together two weeks ago in the centre of town.
A source added: “They are getting more and more touchy feely when they’re out. They’ve tried hiding it but like each other too much.” (more…)

Pixie Lott met Justin Bieber recently and thinks the Baby star is cute.
Recalling her meeting with the 16-year-old pop sensation, the 19-year-old Turn It Up singer said: “I did a TV show with Justin Bieber recently. He is a little cutie.
“I went looking for him before the show to introduce myself and he was in his dressing room,” Pixie added to Sugar. “It was full of people and I was like, ‘Hiiiii!’
“He was so nice and friendly but, before you ask, no he didn’t flirt with me!”
As for her current relationship status, Pixie told the teen magazine: “There is someone I like.
“He’s new to my friendship group, but we’ve only met a few times, so I don’t really know what’s going to happen, if anything. But, I do like him.”

Those who ventured to the small Huntingdonshire village of Pidley were in for a treat on Saturday night when chart-topping superstar Pixie Lott performed at a charity evening.
The show, in aid of EPIC (Everyday People Initiating Change) was organised by the hugely successful Evolution Dome team, whose incredible work at organising charity events has seen them raise exceptional amounts of money for worthy causes.
This special event, in a unique but perfectly constructed dome, also offered lucky fans the opportunity to see some of the finest local talent perform alongside the celebrity guest.
Resident guitarist Matt Harvey performed admirably throughout the evening, as both a backing musician for guest singers as well as performing several songs by himself, which ranged from up-tempo, fiery renditions of tracks by the likes of Stevie Wonder and Queen, alongside more soulful, quieter material.
Hailing from Essex, Libby Holden opened the show with a stunning set of lively covers, including a superb rendition of Duffy’s Warwick Avenue, which demonstrated the full extent of her powerful vocal range to perfection. Holden also performed an original track she has recently recorded, I very much doubt this is the last we hear of this bright young talent. (more…)
Following the success of her debut fashion range for Lipsy earlier this year, we have teamed up with British pop princess and style icon Pixie Lott once again for a showstopping autumn/winter collection.
The 25 piece collection comprises of two distinct looks – Pixie Rocks and Pixie Party – inspired by Pixie’s own rock chick girly style and her favourite style icons past and present.
Pixie Rocks is all about edgy, rock-inspired style. This capsule collection has everything from studded leather biker jackets to statement full length black jumpsuits and leather tassel skirts. Flashes of leather and stud detailing feature across many styles and collection highlights include an uber-glamorous Dalmatian print fur coat.
Pixie Party is the ultimate party girl wardrobe with 50s inspired prom dresses, sleek and sophisticated evening dresses with lace detail, satin bows, layering and plunging backs. Delicate cream, nude and dusky pink colours are contrasted by more dramatic graphic prints and classic black styles – there is something to match every fashionista’s party style!
Commenting on the new range Pixie said: “I’m having such great fun turning my style ideas into an actual fashion range so am really excited to be launching my second collection with Lipsy. This time I’ve taken inspiration from some of my favourite style icons like Bridget Bardot and Eddy Sedwick and what I love to wear out with my friends.” (more…)
