As you’re all probably aware, today marks a special day for Pixie as her first fashion project, Pixie Collection for Lipsy is launched. You can now buy the full Pixie Party/Festival range at all major Lipsy concessions on the high street, ranging in sizes 8-14. What’s more, you can also buy the collection online at a special devoted Pixie page by clicking here (be sure to type in ONLINE10 at checkout to receive 10% off your order).
Pixie will be launching her range at an exclusive event at Bluewater shopping centre in Kent later today, so if you’re heading down and get the chance to snap some photos of Pixie, be sure to send them into us for use in the gallery. I hope to have some professional pictures up tomorrow should any paparazzi be covering the event.

Cheryl Cole, Rihanna and Dizzee Rascal are among the acts that have been confirmed for Radio 1′s tenth Big Weekend.
Florence and the Machine, Alicia Keys, dance stars Pendulum, X Factor boyband JLS and rock acts Lostprophets and Biffy Clyro will also play the two-date event at the Vanyol Estate in Bangor next month.
Some 40,000 fans will be able to attend the festival , which takes place on Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23.
“We’ve pulled out all the stops for our tenth BBC Radio 1′s Big Weekend with an outstanding lineup of the best UK and international talent, along with new and emerging artists,” said Radio 1 live music and events editor Jason Carter.
Other acts on the bill include Scouting For Girls, Chipmunk, 30 Seconds To Mars and Justin Bieber, who will all play on the Saturday. Rounding off the Sunday lineup are Paolo Nutini, Paramore, Pixie Lott, Jason Derulo and Ke$ha.
Performers on the In New Music We Trust Stage include Faithless, MGMT, Ellie Goulding, Vampire Weekend, Plan B, Vampire Weekend and Marina & The Diamonds.
Further acts will be announced for the BBC Introducing Stage and Outdoor Stage later this week.

1) Growing up, my mum used to put my brother and me in matching clothes all the time. There is a picture of us wearing a matching badger-print outfit. My brother’s wearing a shirt and I’m in the dress version – it’s very funny.
2) I’ve learnt a lot about my style as I’ve got older. I now know what I feel comfortable in and what suits me. It’s usually a dress, tights and a pair of brogues. I love jeans, too, but I’m still trying to find a style that I like and that fits well.
3) I love it when the festival season rolls round again, because I can pile gems and glitter on my face. I have always loved make-up. Either I will do the smoky-eye effect or neutral eyes, with bright red lipstick to really glam up my look.
4) Jewellery is essential, particularly little bangles or necklaces with sentimental value. There’s a gold necklace I always wear – it was my best friend’s nan’s locket and it has a picture of my best friend and her brother in it.
5) My main style icons are Brigitte Bardot and Edie Sedgwick. I’ve been reading a book about Audrey Hepburn. I love her style and elegance.

Pixie has been added to the line-up of some of the summer’s biggest music festivals, T4 On The Beach as well as Capital FM’s Summertime Ball. Read more about the event below…
Chipmunk and Pixie Lott are among more acts added to this year’s T4 On The Beach lineup.
Singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding has also been announced for the event, which is now in its eighth year.
They will join already confirmed acts including JLS, N-Dubz, Tinie Tempah and Alexandra Burke.
A number of special guests will also make an appearance at the gig, including Gok Wan and Pineapple Dance Studio’s Louie Spence and Starman frontman Andrew Stone.
This year’s T4 On The Beach takes place in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset on July 4. Tickets are on sale now.

Pixie Lott pretends to be a student so she can get half-price cinema tickets.
The ‘Boys and Girls’ singer – whose first two singles topped the British charts – has revealed she lies to staff at her local cinema so she can save money just like her friends, but admits it doesn’t always go according to plan.
She said: “When I went to see ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ I wanted to get in half-price like my friends, so I pretended to be a student, but they knew who I was! I keep getting recognised now. even when I went out for dinner with my parents a few nights ago, I was sat there in my comfy clothes and boots and everybody kept coming up to me all the time! I don’t mind it though.”
The 19-year-old star quickly rose to fame after releasing her debut LP ‘Turn It Up’ last September. Although she now has a glamorous pop star lifestyle, Pixie has admitted she used to apply for singing jobs in her local newspaper in a bid to become a “Pop Diva” – and often had to lie about her age.
She added: “I used to be in local productions and be singing and putting myself out there and I used to go to auditions too. I saw one in the newspaper looking for the next ‘Pop Diva’ and knew that I had to go. It was miles away o the other side of London and you had to be 16 and I was only 14, so my mum refused to take me, but I pestered and pestered her until she finally gave in. I lied about my age as well!”

Hello Pixie Lott. How are you doing? Where are you currently?
I’m great thanks. I’m in LA at the moment.
How’s 2010 going thus far?
2010 is really going well, the schedule is manic but I wouldn’t want it any other way! The highlight so far was being nominated for three Brit Awards, I felt so honoured as I had only been in the music scene for 8 months!
If people don’t know what you and your music are about (where have they been!?), how would you describe yourself?
Soulful pop that is contemporary with sometimes a retro feel.
What made you decide on Pixie as your stage name?
When I was born my mum nicknamed me Pixie as I was like a little fairy. My sister and brother who were 1 and 2 years old always called me Pixie and thought that was my name and it just stuck! (more…)

Chart hopeful Professor Green has a massive crush on Pixie Lott.
He’s so keen on the blonde bombshell that he has dedicated a song on his upcoming album to her.
Speaking on Capital FM, he said: “I think she’s a darling. There’s a song I’ve done called Oh My God and there’s a lyric that just kind of confesses how much I like Pixie Lott.”
And as the Prof keeps up his assault on Sunday’s No1 spot with I Need You Tonight, the Brrrap Pack grows again.

A celebrity advertising campaign, featuring chef Gordon Ramsay and pop singer Pixie Lott, is to be launched in an attempt to reverse declining sales of milk.
Posters of the pair sporting a white, milk moustache will be unveiled across Britain with the slogan “make mine milk”.
The £7.5 million initiative, which will highlight low-fat versions of milk, is the biggest since the “Whole lotta bottle” and “Accrington Stanley” campaigns of the 1980s.
It is the first cross-industry campaign since milk was deregulated in 1994. Commissioned by the Milk Marketing Forum of trade body Dairy UK, it is one-third financed by the European Commission.
Ramsay said: “There is a lot of love for milk in this country, but people often assume that it’s only good for kids who need a bit of calcium. The truth is that milk, especially low-fat milk, is fantastically good for you.”

The British pop star tells Marie Davies about her collaboration with Lipsy and where she likes to shop on the high street
How did the collaboration with women’s young fashion brand Lipsy come about?
I’ve always wanted to have a fashion line as I’m really into clothes and fashion, like most girls my age. Lipsy is a well-known brand that girls identify with and it has a broad reach around the UK. I thought it would be great to collaborate with a brand which could make the collection accessible to many people.
How much involvement do you have in the design process?
I tried on lots of samples and looked through colour sheets and fabrics for the spring 10 collection which is in store this month. We only started working on it at the beginning of 2010 so it was a very quick process. For the second collection in autumn 10, I’ll be drawing sketches and looking at my clothes at home. I customise pieces myself so I’ll be taking all of that in for inspiration. I’ll have a better idea about what I want and will be able to learn from the first collection.
What type of pieces are in the summer collection?
There are two themes – Pixie Party and Pixie Festival. Pixie Festival has cotton dresses, bleached denim and fringed waistcoats. Pixie Party includes animal prints and embellishment on chiffon dresses and studded vest dresses. Being young, I love festivals and partying so it’s great that there are some day dresses and evening dresses in there. (more…)

Pixie Lott is a huge fan of Alexa Chung’s quirky style is desperate to buy the Mulberry bag named after the TV presenter.
The ‘Mama Do’ singer admires the TV presenter’s quirky take on fashion and is desperate to buy the Mulberry bag named after the brunette beauty.
She said: “I really like what Alexa Chung wears. Those Mulberry bags named after Alexa are wicked – I don’t have one but I’m going to invest.”
Pixie also likes Sienna Miller’s fashion sense and was impressed with her latest collection for her label Twenty8Twelve, which she owns with sister Savannah.
She said: “Sienna Miller always looks good. I went to the Twenty8Twelve fashion show and the clothes were gorgeous.”
The 19-year-old beauty is known for her blonde locks and although she recently donned a dark wig for her ‘Gravity’ music video, she would never become a permanent brunette.
She said: “It was really fun wearing that wig and I wore it out one night. But I definitely think I suit and prefer being blonde because that’s what I’ve grown up being and think it’s more me.”

While my Brrrap Pack boys are taking the US by storm, one young English talent facing a much harder time is Pixie Lott.
The teenage songbird’s debut album, Turn It Up, is being re-worked for the American market because execs over there don’t think it will sell as it is.
While tweaks and an extra track or two are common practice for a release in the States, a whopping third of the Essex lass’s tracks are being changed.
A source explained: “American execs are chomping at the bit to get hold of British urban acts. But they’re not convinced by what they’ve seen of Pixie so far.
“They are concerned that Turn It Up has only sold about half a million copies. They want to give it a fairly major overhaul before they present her to the public.”
Brit acts including N-Dubz, Master Shortie and Tinie Tempah are in high demand over the water.

The 19-year-old British singer was in New York two years ago on holiday with her family.
She had curled her hair for the day, and caused a paparazzi frenzy when she got out of a taxi looking very similar to the Colombian pop star.
“I remember when I used to wear my hair curly a couple of years ago, I got out of a taxi in New York and everyone was like, ‘Shakira, Shakira!’ ” Pixie laughed. “I probably looked like her from the back, but I told them, ‘No, it’s not Shakira!’ ”
Pixie shot to fame last year with her debut single Mama Do. She loves being a celebrity because she gets to meet other stars, but admits she is not sure if she is ready to be introduced to her movie crush Robert Pattinson.
“I think the hottest celebrities out there right now are Ashton Kutcher and Robert Pattinson, but apart from them, there’s no one too special around right now. I haven’t met Robert and I kind of don’t want to because his character in Twilight is so lovely and I don’t know what he’s going to be like in real life,” Pixie told the British edition of OK! magazine.

Walking barefoot around Kensington Roof Gardens in a floaty white dress, it’s obvious that Pixie Lott is ready for summer when we catch up with her, perhaps because she’s just back from shooting her ‘Pixie Loves Lipsy’ collection in Spain’s warmer climes. “It was amazing to go to Marbella and be in the sunshine,” Pixie enthuses. “I loved doing the festival stuff as the makeup was a bit crazy. I also love accessories, so we had fun with scarves and hats and I took a creative role in the way I looked.”
Pixie talks style
Having started wearing Lipsy at a young age, Pixie knows that “when girls look for something to wear on a weekend, they go to Lipsy” and feels that her collection sums up her style perfectly.
“The collection is very me and that’s why it was great to do the two looks – festival and party – as I love festivals and I love going out. It’s good for people looking for something to wear over the summer and for the weekends.”
Pixie describes her style as “vintage-inspired with a mix of contemporary fashion and designer”, and the collection is just as eclectic, with her favourite pieces spanning current trends. “I really like this white pom-pom dress as it’s vintage-looking, so I’ll definitely be wearing it at the festivals this year. I also love the red and black lace bodice party dress which I’d wear out on a Friday or Saturday night. “Then there’s the white lace backless dress – I love any kind of backless style and I think a lot of my friends will like that as well,” she adds.

Sitting cross-legged, and happy to have pictures taken with fans within the Lipsy family, it’s clear that Pixie is one laid-back pop star – so much so that she tells us it takes her just 30 minutes to get ready for a night out! “If I have half an hour, I can do that definitely – it just depends how much time I have. If it’s two hours, it can take that long too. “However long you have, if you’re doing smoky eyes you have to do that before you do your base and cheeks because it can get messy and you don’t want to have to start over.” (more…)

Brit buddies Pixie Lott and Gregg Sulkin walk and talk back to the valet to pick up their car in Los Angeles on Monday night (March 29).
The duo met up for drinks at an Italian restaurant before heading into The Cheesecake Factory for dinner and dessert.
Pixie will be appearing in the upcoming Fred: The Movie as Judy. The flick, also starring Jennette McCurdy and Lucas Cruikshank, is set to premiere on Nickelodeon this summer.

Pixie Lott was all smiles as she arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday night ahead of last nights Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards, but little did she know what dramatic scenes were about to unfold.
It’s been reported that while competing for shots of the Mama Do singer a couple of paps got a little bit heavy handed and a police airport spokesman confirmed:
“There was pushing and shoving for position and a fight ensued.”
One guy was arrested on suspicion of battery with great bodily injury and another was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. The one that was arrested was booked on $50,000 bail and released on Saturday morning, while the injured paps condition is unknown.

Pixie has recently become a patron of CRY, a charity which offers support and awareness of cardiac risk in the young.
