Pixie Lott is the latest pop name to be signed by model agency Select. The London agency, which has overseen the careers of top models from Agyness Deyn to David Gandy, also signed Eliza Doolittle earlier this year.

“Pixie is stunning,” legendary model scout Tandy Anderson, of Select Model Management, told us. “She has presence, style, an infectious personality, and has already caught the eye of various designers and photographers, from Dolce & Gabbana to Ellen Von Unwerth. She’s a talented and successful musician and we are confident that as a model, she can enjoy similar success.”

“I’ve always loved experimenting with different looks and styles through work – it’s one of the perks of the job!” Lott added. ” I’ve always been surrounded by clothes, and I love fashion and accessorising. I’ve learnt a lot about what works and what doesn’t, which has helped to build my confidence and interest in fashion. Music and fashion go together well for me as they are both very expressive. I was asked to design a range for Lipsy, which was a great way to experiment more, and now I’ve got the opportunity to immerse myself in fashion at another level which is really exciting. Being with Select is like getting my first real fashion job after an apprenticeship! When we took the Polaroids, I’d just had my hair cut by Akin Konizi, I put on my Miu Miu dress, my gold crucifix necklace, my Pixie necklace and did my own make-up. I can’t wait to get going!”

Singer Pixie Lott says 60s American actress Edie Sedgwick and fellow popstar Katy Perry are her style inspirations.

The 20-year-old singer – who has her own range of clothing for UK high street chain Lipsy – admits the 60s American actress has always been an icon of hers while fellow popstar Katy shares a similar taste in clothes.

She told more! magazine: “I’m a big fan of the 60s – Edie Sedwick is my style icon. I love it when this season changes and you can bust out the chunky knits and layering.

“Katy wears some really cool, young things. And she’s obsessed with cats too, like me. I love anything cat-related, so I’ll be living in the leopard-print hot pants from my Lipsy range.”

As well as talking about her own icons, Pixie also gave some advice on dressing to feel confident and look good.

She said: “Wear what you’re comfortable in, it’s as simple as that. Don’t be dictated by trends, wear what suits you. There are definitely things I wouldn’t wear which I don’t feel comfortable in.

“I love dresses with waist-belts, as they nip you in at your smallest part and skater skirts are great for skimming over your thighs.”

“I’m a massive fan of John Legend so I was really really excited and happy about that,” she said.

“I’ve been such a massive fan [of Stevie Wonder] for so many years, it’s crazy to actually see him in the flesh.

“I met his family and his wife, I spoke to him for a while and he’s such a legend.”

Lott, who released her debut album, Turn It Up in 2009, added that she was now a more confident songwriter for her second record.

Pixie Lott won’t leave home without accessories as she feels uncomfortable if she hasn’t teamed her outfit with large amounts of jewellery.

The ‘Cry Me Out’ hitmaker feels uncomfortable if she hasn’t teamed her outfit with large amounts of jewellery or flowers in her hair.

She said: “My fashion mantra is make it your own. You can take a simple dress and put personality into it by adding your own little touches.

“I won’t leave home without accessorising. I don’t feel right without rings on every finger, an armful of bangles or flowers in my hair.

“My jewellery box is full of Disney Couture, Rock ‘N Rose, Tiffany & Co and trinkets that belong to my gran.”

Pixie has vowed to expand her wardrobe for the summer by experimenting with different colours.

She told Now magazine: “My summer style resolution is to inject more colour into my wardrobe.

“This season is all about bold colour blocking and clashing brights, so I’ve just bought a pair of colour pop blue wedges. I have more fun with fashion when the sun’s out.”

Pixie Lott has warned Adele that she is after Prince Harry too in an interview Company magazine.

The Boys and Girls singer says that she is ready to fight Adele for Prince Harry.

Although the royal has an on/off girlfriend Chelsy Davy, it has not stopped women throwing themselves at the prince.

Adele revealed that she has set her sights on Harry earlier this week in Glamour magazine.

‘I know I said I wouldn’t go out with a ginger but it’s Prince Harry!’ she said.

‘I’d be a real duchess then. I’d love a night out with him, he seems like a right laugh.’

But 20-year-old blonde bombshell, Pixie, not wanting to be out of the running, has also tossed her hat into the ring.

‘I’ve always wanted to be a princess and Harry seems to be a bit naughty. I just need to meet him now,’ said Pixie.

The full interview with Pixie Lott is in the July issue of Company magazine which is out on Monday.

Pixie Lott likes British fashion best.

The Brit songstress is famed for her quirky style, and is currently working on her third collaboration with glam clothing brand Lipsy.

The 20-year-old says although American fashion is very glam, she prefers the more edgier, casual look that her native girls sport.

‘L.A. girls have a different sense of style. They look glam and groomed all the time. But I prefer British fashion. It’s much more individual, very cool and we’re great at being kooky and fun!’ she said in an interview with Closer magazine.

The British singer says America is best for shopping however, as the clothes are cheaper. Pixie loves shopping in boutiques in London but sometimes the pieces are too expensive.

‘There are lots of boutiques in London, but the bargains are in America. Brands like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Levi’s are cheaper over there,’ she revealed.

Pixie says she can’t live without accessories and relies on them to constantly update her look. The blonde beauty has also revealed her fashion ‘guilty pleasure’.

‘Jewellery,’ she said when asked what her must-have item is. ‘ wear rings every day, on all my fingers, and layer loads of necklaces. And UGG boots are my guilty pleasure.’

The singer, 20, on her skin saviour and designer bargain tips.

My earliest childhood memory
“I fell off our shed aged three. I’d gone to look at caterpillars, slipped and knocked myself out. Dramatic!”

My most special holiday destination
“I love Portugal. I used to go there every summer with my family. We would go out for meals and relax on the beach, all the usual fun holiday stuff. I love jet-skiing and riding on banana boats, too.”

My latest splurge
“I went on a shopping spree the last time I was in LA. I got some great deals on bikinis from Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren.”

How I relax
“I love coming home to London. I chill out with my friends in cafes, bars or the park.”

The smell that reminds me of home
“My sister always wears Miss Dior Cherie, £44 for 30ml EDP, so it makes me think of family and home. And Chanel Allure Homme, £59.24 for 100ml EDT, reminds me of my brother.”
