A lot of girls crop their hair after a big boyfriend break-up.
But don’t worry, Pixie Lott’s love life hasn’t hit the skids. Far from it.
In fact, she is riding high with a new look, new album and a sizzling relationship with her model boyfriend.
“I fancied a change of hairstyle so it didn’t get boring for me and to fresh- en things up a bit for the new album,” says the 20-year-old singer.
After launching onto the pop scene with two back-to- back No 1 singles, Mama Do and Boys & Girls, Pixie has notched up a further four Top 20 hits since 2009.
Hot new single All About Tonight is a taster of what’s to come on Pixie’s second album, which features col- laborations with soul aces Stevie Wonder, 61, and John Legend, 32.
“I feel like I’ve matured a lot since the first album,” Pixie tells me during a visit to the Daily Star offices. “It’s moved on a bit more.
“There are still some party tracks in there but the rest of it is more soul- ful, which is what I grew up with.” (more…)

How’s it going? Hope you cats are all well and had a lovely weekend soaking up some rays. Loving the sunshine! Let’s hope it lasts.
I had an amazing weekend performing at the Radio Aire Party in the Park in Leeds and Key 103’s Summer Ball in Manchester- both shows were so much fun and the crowds were brilliant so a BIG thank you if you came down to either. I’m really happy to be back singing live with my band again after so long in the studio. I also got a chance to catch up with my pals from The Wanted and JLS and also spend some time with the lovely Ollie Murs.
Check out the view from the stage in Leeds- soooo many people!
Tinchy Stryder was also there this weekend. We recently recorded a track together for his new album which i’m excited about so stay tuned for more info about that coming soon. Here we are hanging out backstage.
The launch of ‘All About Tonight’ has been nerve wracking but really exciting so far. Hearing it on the radio for the first time was a great feeling- I’ve spent so long listening to it on my own through my laptop speakers! Thanks to all of you who came down to Radio 1 for the first play and for all the cards and letters of support. I read them all in the car on my way home afterwards. (more…)
Pixie co-presented Clyde 1′s In:Demand with Romeo radio show up in Scotland yesterday, where she answered fan questions, took over the show’s Twitter account and sang live for listeners! In case you missed it all, here are the videos of Pixie’s acoustic sessions, including a beautiful cover of Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’. I’ve also added some photos of Pixie on the show. Take a look now.
Pixie Lott is looking forward to finishing her summer of live performances at Sainsbury’s Super Saturday.
The Mama Do singer has been added to the line-up of the family-friendly event taking place on Clapham Common on the September 10 in support of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, along with Sugababes, Nicola Roberts and Olly Murs.
Pixie said: “I am so excited to be performing at Sainsbury’s Super Saturday. It will be a great way to round off the summer. I’m looking forward to seeing some of the Paralympics’ sports stars in action as well.”
The newly-revealed acts will join Chipmunk, Taio Cruz and The Saturdays at the event to help mark the countdown to the Paralympic Games, where the crowds will also be able to try out Paralympic sports.
Chipmunk helped launch the event at Sainsbury’s in Pimlico in May, when he revealed he turned down a job on the fish counter at Sainsbury’s when he was 16 because he didn’t like the hat.
Seb Coe, chair of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, said: “The fact that we are able to mix popular, talented artists alongside Paralympic sport displays and interactive activities is just a fantastic way to engage with new audiences.”
Tickets to the event are on sale at www.ticketmaster.co.uk/supersaturday.
A busy day for Pixie yesterday as she took to the stage at Party in the Park in Leeds followed by a performance at the Key 103 Live event in Manchester later that evening. View the pictures below. You can also watch a quick interview with Pixie from Key 103 also.

Pixie has recently become a patron of CRY, a charity which offers support and awareness of cardiac risk in the young. Speaking about the charity, Pixie has said, "I've become a patron of CRY as it affects so many young people and it's crazy that a seemingly fit and young person can just drop down dead. I feel it's important to raise awareness and will be using my new role to spread the word." To find out more, or donate to CRY, then visit their website now.
